How to share a Replit site with a client

Export the static build of a Replit project, share one controlled review link, and carry client comments into the next Replit session.

From build to client review

  1. 1

    Run the production build

Run the project's documented build command in Replit and note the output directory.

  2. 2

    Download the static output

Download the output files and check that index.html exists. Open them from a clean browser profile to catch paths that only work inside Replit.

  3. 3

    Create the review project

Zip the contents of the output directory and upload them. Add a project password when the preview should be limited to people who know it.

  4. 4

    Ask for pinned feedback

Send the link with a deadline and ask the client to comment on the exact elements they want changed. They do not need an account.

  5. 5

    Build the next round

Turn open comments into one prompt for the next Replit session, then replace the reviewed version without changing the client URL.

Common questions

Can I share my Replit project without deploying it?

Yes. Upload the static build to PreviewSend and share that link. This only works when the project builds to static files.

Can clients comment without a Replit account?

Yes. Reviewers need no account or extension, only a display name.

Do I get a new link for every revision?

No. Uploading a new version to the same project keeps the client URL stable. Comments stay with the version they were made on, and older versions are pruned by your plan's version limit.
